We're home. But we're not stuck. And like many children and grown ups out there, we're doing our homework to keep our wheels turning - check our quarantine video linked below. The LPSTK Gazette is our new tool to update you on the work we've been doing so far and, hopefully, what will come next. The pandemic made us postpone our moves, but not our dreams. So we're keeping our heads and hands busy planning and getting ready to do what we love again. We'd like to thank our volunteers, partners and friends for backing us up on that. MAKING FRIENDS WITH A SKATEBOARD AND A PEN

The SK8 PALS™ program was introduced to connect kids across borders through a traditional pen pal writing program. After the volunteers from LPSTK spent time in Brazil they wanted to stay in touch and also connect the Brazilian kids with other kids around the world. SK8 PALS™ is a way to strengthen bonds and grow together over 5000+ miles apart. MEET THE "SKATE NA VILA" PROJECT IN BRAZIL

It's been a year since we visited SKATE NA VILA in the city of Porto Alegre. The project has been running since 2018 on an impoverished community, helping kids that live in extremely vulnerable circumstances. Skateboarding is a platform to bring education, recreation, and a sense of collectivity to those kids. We were so lucky to spend time with them, skating, sharing stories, and exchanging love. The impact was indescribable and was the fuel we needed to overcome any fears of failure. We'll be back as soon as possible. Big shout out to the kids and the Skate Na Vila team. We love and miss you all!

LPSTK Inc is a 501(c)(3) that partners with other nonprofits & local skate shops working with kids to build camaraderie and expose them to the creative opportunities skateboarding can bring. For every deck purchased we donate a deck to a kid in need. All proceeds from sales are applied directly to the mission.
